PRESENTATION SYNOPSIS

Among the various irregular cornea options, post-surgery corneas are one of the biggest challenges for specialists. The great asymmetry in the anterior surface of the cornea, greater risk of causing a rejection of surgery as in the case of corneal transplantation, greater risk of increasing the significant loss of the number of endothelial cells with pleomorphism and polymegatism, are some of the causes that make us reflect more carefully and act with greater caution when fitting special lenses in these patients. The objective of this talk is to illustrate what are the clinical advantages and benefits of fitting RGP lenses of small and large diameter.
