PRESENTATION SYNOPSIS
Infectious complications in the use of contact lenses were assessed considering the materials and the regimen of use of CL. Aspects related to etiology, prevalence, risk factors, laboratory diagnosis and clinical therapy on infiltrates (sterile and infectious) and bacterial, fungal and acanthamoeba keratitis triggered by the use of CL were addressed.
