PRESENTATION SYNOPSIS
In my clinical trials, I have found that patients with regular corneas are very receptive especially if they are not satisfied with their soft lenses or glasses.
The percentage of patients who abandon the use of CL due to discomfort and poor vision is very high. An oblate scleral lens gives them a choice of vision, more hours of wear, corneal protection and has been very well received by dry eye patients. The oblate design brings closeness to the corneal apex, more oxygen and less distortion at high graduations.
