Graduated in Medicine in 1982, Residency in Ophthalmology 1983-1985 and Master’s Degree 1992 at UNIFESP (Federal University of Sao Paulo). Head of the Contact Lenses Section in the Ophthalmology Department – UNIFESP – 1994-2014. Former President of SOBLEC (Brazilian Society of Contact Lenses, Cornea and Refractometry). 2011-2013. Former President of the Center for Ophthalmological Studies Moacyr E. Alvaro at UNIFESP (Federal University of Sao Paulo) – 2003
