
Dr. Edgar Dávila-García OD, FIACLE, FSLS, NCLE-AC. Doctor of Optometry. Graduated from the School of Optometry of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico in 1996. Graduated from the “National Board of Optometrists of the United States” and licensed to practice Optometry in Puerto Rico and in the state of Texas, USA. Dr. Dávila-García maintains a professional practice specialized in contact lenses and refractive technologies. Lecturer, consultant and KOL for companies like J&J, X-Cel Contacts, Spectrum International, TearLab and Lenstec. Past Academic Coordinator of the Vision Care Institute PR, Adjunct Professor of the School of Optometry of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and clinical instructor for several years, he also served as a clinical examiner for the US National Board of Optometrists. He is a “reviewer” for COPE (Council on Optometric Practitioner Education). He is the founding president of the Puerto Rican Academy of the Ocular Surface and Contact Lenses, author of several writings on the subject of contact lenses, a book on specialized contact lenses and last year a columnist for Specialized Contactology in the magazine Franja Visual. Dr. Dávila García is a Fellow of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (FIACLE) and a Fellow and liaison for Latin America of the Scleral Lens Educational Society (FSLS), he also has an Advanced Certification from the National Contact Lens Examiners and is the only Latino member of the International Society of Contact Lens Specialists.
